The Good Inside Review: What's Worth Buying at 71

So I did what I always do before I put something in my body at 71 — I went through the whole site, product by product, claim by claim.

Here is what I found — what impressed me, and where I still have questions.

First, Get the Right Website

This trips people up. goodinside.com is a parenting app from a psychologist named Dr. Becky. The longevity company is thegoodinside.com — with “the” in front. Same two words, completely different business. If you searched and landed on toddler tantrum advice, that is why.

What The Good Inside Actually Is

The Good Inside is the retail brand of Touchstone Essentials, a supplement company based in Raleigh, North Carolina, that has been operating since 2011. They are a certified B Corp, they carry a plastic-neutral certification, and they are BBB accredited. The product line is entirely plant-based — organic, non-GMO, vegan, gluten-free across the board.

The catalog breaks into four rough buckets:

Telo-Vital, Briefly

Telo-Vital is the reason most longevity people find this company at all. It is a one-capsule-a-day telomere supplement developed by Dr. Bill Andrews, built from plant extracts he identified by screening more than 10,000 candidates, and it runs $109 a bottle or $89 on autoship. It is the most interesting thing on the site and the only product here I take.

What I Would Like to See Improved

I like this company. That is exactly why I want to be specific about where I would like it to go further.

The zeolite line is where I have questions. Pure Body and Pure Body Extra are built around cleansing heavy metals and environmental toxins, and it is the biggest category on the site. I have not found strong human evidence that oral zeolite meaningfully clears toxins from healthy adults, and a well-functioning liver and kidneys already handle much of that work. It may turn out to do more than the published research has captured so far. For now, it is simply not where I choose to put my own money.

I would like more detail on the labels. Supplement Facts panels are posted as images, and ingredients are grouped into proprietary blends rather than listed at milligrams per ingredient. Proprietary blends are common in this industry and there are real competitive reasons for them. Still, per-ingredient amounts would let me compare these formulas against alternatives and check them against the doses used in research — and I suspect that would work in the company’s favor.

The product copy leans on careful language. Read the product pages closely and you will find “may support,” “helps to,” and “you may notice” doing a lot of work. That phrasing is legally required for supplements, so it is not a knock on this company in particular. It is just a reminder to look at the evidence behind a claim rather than the wording of it.

How the Company Sells, and Why I Am Telling You

Touchstone Essentials sells through affiliates. The site has a “Join Us” button, an Affiliate+ tier, a back office for managing your team, and a downline structure. That is direct sales. It is a legitimate model that plenty of good companies use, and it matters here for one reason worth knowing: many of the Good Inside reviews you will find online were written by people who earn a commission when you buy. That does not make them wrong. It just means the incentive is in the room.

Who This Is For

A good fit if you are already deep into longevity, you are here for Telo-Vital specifically, and you go in understanding that you are supporting an emerging area of science rather than buying a settled result.

Less essential if you are shopping for greens, protein, or omegas. Those products are well made — they are premium versions of things you can also find elsewhere, so it comes down to how much you value the sourcing and the B Corp standards behind them.

And if money is tight, start with the free levers first. Sleep, protein, resistance training, and grip strength will do more for you at 71 than any capsule, here or anywhere else.

My Verdict

The Good Inside is a legitimate, well-run company with one genuinely interesting product and a solid line of everyday staples around it. The B Corp certification and the guarantee are real. Because so much of what is written about this company comes from affiliates, it is worth reading any review — including this one — with that in mind.

For now I buy exactly one thing here. That is not a knock on the rest of the line — it is just where my own priorities sit at 71.
