It s time for the Women's College World Series.

It is almost that time of year again. For those of us that love fastpitch softball that means The WCWS. The Women's College World Series is a great event. I just received my press pass confirmation, and that started me thinking of what a great event this is. I think it is great that the NCAA is starting to take online press as a serious source of news, and working with bloggers, and video producers.

If you love softball and have never been to the WCWS you really need to make the pilgrimage to Oklahoma City. Before you go you really need to be prepared for the heat though. Since many of the games are during the day the heat can kill you. Living in Dallas, Texas I am use to heat. I still remember the heat wave of 1980 where it was over 100 for almost 2 months, but I still think it is hot as HELL in Oklahoma City.

I have been to the WCWS many times now, and every time is better than the last. It seems that a lot of other people agree with me, since the event is a sold out event every year now. If you are even thinking about going you may want to get your tickets asap. If you get them now you may be able to get them in the infield.
